Genetic Tests

All dogs chosen for breeding at VHH have undergone 182 genetic health (DNA) screenings (11 of which are breed specific)and radiographs of the hips, elbows and spine prior to being bred.

Working Dog Teams

This number will fluctuate as the working dogs included retire and as new ones join the ranks. This includes our service dogs and dogs with jobs.

AKC

Amaerican Kennel Club

Snitch earned her TC (Temperament Certification) through GSDCA and subsequently her CHIC and Health Award of Merit.

Venin earned his CGC, CGCA and CGCU. He also earned his Trick Dog Novice, VHMP, VMHA and then did a clean sweep of puppy aptitude titles through NASDA.

Snitch, Shogun, Salem and Quidditch all earned their Trick Dog Intermediate and Advanced Titles!

We are extremely excited to announce that in our continuing efforts to improve the health of the breed and prove our breeding dogs, we have achieved the GSDCA Health Award of Merit on 12 of our breeding dogs:

Abby, Azkaban, Beatle, Farino, Samurai, Tarot, Yankee (retired), Zing (retired), Shogun, Quidditch, Salem and Snitch.

DMWYD

Do More With Your Dog

Another new venue for us, the juniors have been having a BLAST teaching the puppies tricks for DMWYD. Associate trainer L. Fuegner was a great help with getting the kids started and so far Quidditch has earned her Novice Trick Dog and Intermediate Trick Dog. Shogun , Salem and Snitch followed closely with a Novice Trick Dog each.

Retired boy Yankee even added some new letters to his alphabet soup.

NASDA

North American Sport Dog Assoc.

Our NASDA debut went REALLY well with Trainer/Judge L. Fuegner exhibiting Severus VHH for a clean sweep of his Puppy Aptitude Titles and Quidditch vom haus Huro to 4 new titles (SD1, TL1, UL1, LI1), 4 Best of Breed runs and 9 High in Trial runs!

Quidditch was named the #2 GSD in Trailing and Locating 1 for 2023!!! Vendetta VHH was the #1 GSD in Urban Locating 3 for 2023!!

Venin VHH wasn't about to be outdone and added all 4 Puppy Aptitude Titles to his name in one trial!
