Zwinger vom haus Huro is a purpose-driven German Shepherd breeding program founded on health, temperament, working ability, sound structure, and preservation of the breed. Every breeding dog undergoes extensive orthopedic, cardiac, thyroid, genetic, dentition, and temperament testing, well beyond the customary minimum, and earns the GSDCA Health Award of Merit. Each pairing is carefully planned by evaluating pedigree, genetic diversity, structure, working traits, temperament, and the individual strengths and weaknesses of both dogs.

Our dogs are expected to demonstrate who they are through meaningful working, temperament, performance, and conformation evaluations. We value stable nerves, confidence, trainability, appropriate drive, structural soundness, and the ability to live successfully with a family just as highly as accomplishments in competition.Puppies are raised intentionally, evaluated as individuals, and matched with homes according to temperament and suitability not collar color or picking order.

We believe the right placement matters more than making a sale, and we will always be honest about what a puppy may or may not be suited to do.Our responsibility does not end when a puppy leaves.
